A word about inspiration

In the middle of the mayhem of my father's death, I heard this clip on the radio as I traipsed back and forth between my job in Edmonds and the hospital in Tacoma. It's a segment about Dee Williams (pictured above) that aired on Weekend America, an NPR radio station feature.

I was enthralled. This idea solved so many of the problems that had kept me from living the way I truly want to for a long time. And with my father's death - I was re-evaluating what living life means. This was a great place to focus and follow - and that's how I got started down this path.

Soon I found this video on YouTube of Dee too - which just reinforced all the things I found so enchanting about building a tiny house.

This all inspired me and soon I ordered my own set of plans from the Tumbleweed Tiny House company. I sent an email with questions to the company - and they put me in touch via email to Dee. Now I'm waiting to hear back from her - for a chance to run on down to Olympia in the near future and see her tiny house for myself.

How exciting - my own inspiration - and I get to meet her in person soon! Woo hoo!
