Busy day!
I laid out the flooring. My friends gave me their scrap/leftover bamboo flooring and that fit perfectly in the bathroom. I had bought cork flooring from Habitat for Humanity awhile back (just cuz I loved it) and when I laid it out - I found I didin't have quite enough. A quick trip to Second Use and I found a box of a nice light colored wood flooring that fit nicely in the kitchen area, allowing me to finish that project.
I had scored a large batch of inside wood siding a ways back. It was pretty darned torn up - and I really had to scrounge through it to find enough good pieces to work - but I did! By cuttig off the "bad" parts I had just enough to cover my lower walls. I'd say I ended up using half of what I'd picked up. It looks like Jole (the owner of the yard my house is in) has a use for the rest of the scraps. Good stuff.
She's looking good - and it's really nice to get a real feel for the space. As a matter of fact, I spent my first night in her on the fourth of July. It was like camping - but better ;)
