Wrapped like a gift - house wrap up

Published in

Wow.. seems like there are so many steps to complete before I can get my roof sheeting up. I think I'm ready - then I remember one more little thing I need open access to and off I go making that happen.

So today it was cutting the window holes, so I could put up the house wrap, so I could put up the eve venting system (aka bird block), so I could cut and install the insulation block and on.. and on.. and on.

I worked myself just a little too hard today - and would kill to have just the slightest bit of help. Even one set of hands would have made a world of difference. It's getting a little bit frustrating - takes so long to make any progress. So I'll keep asking for help - and eventually it will come and I'll make progress again.

Walls up and end wall upper lofts framed out

Published in

A little more progress finally. Racing the weather - I was able to frame out the upper loft end walls. I've decided to put in porthole windows in the lofts - going with a nautical theme.

My good friend Stephen helped sooo much today (thank you Stephen!) finishing screwing the outside wall sheeting on the lower half of the tiny house. So I have nice protection from the weather now - and a lot of structural reinforcement.

I purchased two very nice skylights and I'm ready to frame those out - that's my next step. From there it's time to put up the roof sheeting.

It's moving along well - and each little part makes it feel more and more like a house and less and less like an old trailer.

Zombies - Oh my!

4th annual Zombie walk - 10/26/08
West Seattle
My kiddo, Savi, took part and Rupert her dog and I went hunting for her. We found her and had a great time playing with the zombies.
